The Sanctuary, Covent Garden

SPACE & PLACE was appointed by the Sanctuary Covent Garden to refurbish the existing 1970’s Sanctuary Spa in 1985.
The spa was situated just around the corner from The Royal Opera House and was nestled away from the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden in Central London. Its’ reputation as one of the earliest health spas with one of the finest reputations for excellent facilities and treatments continued until it closed its’ doors in 2014.
At the Spa, the facilities included:
- 40 treatment rooms
- Specialist manicure/pedicure suite
- Spa pools
- Heat and steam rooms
- A La Carte restaurant
- The Koi Carpe lounge
- Exercise pool
The popularity of the spa encouraged the launch of the Sanctuary Spa body care range in 1988 which is still beloved by many customers today.
