Outdoor swimming at Tonbridge has a long history with the original heated outdoor pool being built in 1910.
This project was a refurbishment of the existing Marbeline outdoor pool and was completed in March 2006.
The 20m x 4 lane main outdoor pool, open April to September, is heated to provide an enjoyable swim whatever the weather. The project added an interactive water feature, relaxation zone, beach area for families, a ’swim through’ feature to the adjacent indoor pools and a refreshment kiosk.
The project was additional work to the development that SPACE & PLACE undertook in 1995 to create the 25m indoor pool.
