Leytonstone Leisure Centre

Formally known as the Cathall Leisure centre, the building reopened at the end of the 2014 following significant transformations to its facilities with SPACE & PLACE’s input.
The development includes all activity uses previously offered,with the exception of squash, comprising:
- Adult and child swim including learn to swim classes
- Aqua aerobics classes with associated spectator provision
- Children’s play facilities
- Aerobics and dance classes
- Fitness suite
The centre also offers community use standard badminton, crèche facility and a sauna.
All facades to the Centre were ’uplifted’ to create a modern, welcoming building. The New Sports Hall extension has been located to the North East of the site partially obscuring existing unsightly plant and refuse areas and built over the demolished elements of the existing building.
