Kirkby Leisure Centre

SPACE & PLACE was appointed as part of the contractor, Shepherd Construction design team to provide a leisure centre facility for Knowsley Borough Council to replace an existing swimming pool and sports centre.
The facilities consist of:
- 25m 6-lane swimming pool
- Learner pool
- 4-court badminton sports hall
- 2 multi-purpose sports halls
- 2-storey fitness suite
- Crèche
- Training room
- Wet changing village, dry and outdoor change,
- Reception/ administration and associate staff accommodation and plant rooms.
Externally there is a 6-lane synthetic surface athletics track and 2 artificial turf 5-a-side soccer pitches.
