Blair Mayne Leisure Centre: A Modern Hub for Community Sports and Outdoor Adventures.

The new sports and leisure complex boasts top-notch amenities. Specifically, the aquatic zone features a 6-lane, 25-meter gala pool with a movable floor, spectator seating, and a swimming office. In addition, a 20-meter minor pool with a movable floor and an interactive splash pool enhance water play options. Moreover, the health and beauty suite includes a vitality spa pool with neck massagers, in-pool loungers, and a chill plunge pool. Additionally, heated loungers, saunas, steam rooms, salt rooms, as well as experience showers are provided in the wet change area.

In terms of dry facilities, the complex includes a versatile sports hall, covered pitches, a soft play zone, party rooms, and meeting spaces. For fitness enthusiasts, amenities comprise a 110-station gym, dance studios, and spin studios. Meanwhile, the Black Light Adventure Zone (BLAZ) features an indoor golf course, climbing wall, and high ropes, all illuminated by UV lighting.

Outside, the complex includes a wheeled park, bike pump track, sensory garden, as well as a children’s play area. As a replacement for the Ards Leisure Centre, this vibrant complex serves as the main leisure destination for Newtownards and its surroundings. Consequently, it promotes healthy lifestyles, supports local sports, and integrates indoor and outdoor facilities for a holistic community experience.
