SPACE & PLACE was jointly-commissioned, with Knox Clayton Architects of Lisburn, Northern Ireland, to design a new extension to the existing Lisburn Leisure Centre following a limited design competition.

S&P’s role in the project was the design and detailing of the leisure aspects of the building whilst Knox Clayton undertook the shell design and project administration.
The brief for S&P was for a ‘serious’ swimming pool with a major leisure water pool to complement the existing dry side facility.  In addition to the leisure pool and action river, the scheme also includes a Masterblaster, flume and Space bowl.
