Gorton Tub Leisure Pool, Manchester

Completed in 1988, SPACE & PLACE helped develop the Gorton Tub Leisure Pool with Manchester City Council.

At time of opening, Gorton Tub was the only swimming pool in the City of Manchester with a ramp for those with walking difficulties.  

Facilities include a swimming pool with flume water spouts, a whirlpool, beach area and paddling pool.   Gorton Tub has now been renamed to ‘Neptune’s Kingdom’ and is still popular with local residents in the community.
