Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre 

Belfast’s Premier Aquatic Hub: Home to the City’s Largest Swimming Pool & Tom Daley Dive Academy.

SPACE&PLACE (S&P) designed and developed the state-of-the-art Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre for Belfast. With a £20 million investment, the centre boasts a spacious double-storey gym with over 140 workout stations and advanced Technogym cardio and resistance equipment. Additionally, dedicated free weight and functional training areas are available. Three fitness studios offer diverse classes, including high-intensity interval training (HIIT), group cycling, and Les Mills RPM virtual fitness sessions.

The centre features Belfast’s largest swimming pool, a 25m, 8-lane competition pool with a 250-seater viewing gallery. It also includes two learner pools, one with a moveable floor that can reach depths of up to 4 meters, ideal for diving.The centre proudly hosts the Tom Daley Dive Academy, with four diving boards for aspiring divers. A versatile 4-court sports hall accommodates a wide range of activities, including badminton, basketball, gymnastics, and football. 

The health improvement room offers specialist programs like Healthwise and MacMillan Move More, supporting overall community wellness. We prioritized accessibility with pool pods, lifts, accessible toilets, showers, and changing rooms, ensuring all visitors can enjoy the facilities.

Visitors can unwind at the Coffee Corner, offering a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks in a cozy seating area. The gym provides panoramic views of the Castlereagh Hills. Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre promotes physical activity and fosters a welcoming community atmosphere. With its modern amenities and inclusive design, the centre has swiftly become a key hub for health, fitness, and recreation in Belfast.

Results

The Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre has become Belfast’s top aquatic hub, focusing on extensive wet facilities. It features the city’s largest 25m, 8-lane swimming pool, learner pools, and diving facilities for various water activities. The centre also offers excellent dry facilities, including a modern fitness suite, a versatile sports hall, and several fitness studios, providing comprehensive recreational and fitness options for residents.
